Stanley Domin, 100, of West Rivershore Drive, Niagara Falls, NY, died on Thursday May 20, 2010 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence following a brief illness.
He was born in Majdany, Poland on February 25, 1910, a son of the late Tomasz and Aniela (Szczepaniak) Domiszewski. He moved with his family to Niagara Falls as a child and attended local schools.
Mr. Domin was a 42 year employee with the Union Carbide Company where he worked as a lab technician.
He was a longtime member of St. John de LaSalle RC Church and served as an usher for some time. He loved to garden and sit by the beautiful Niagara River.
Mr. Domin was predeceased by his wife, Helena Rivers Domin in 2003; two children, Lois King and Elizabeth Danielewicz; brothers, Thomas, Edward, Leo, Joseph and Matthew and a sister, Sophie Kowalczyk.
Survivors include his son, John (Sandra) Domin of Niagara Falls; siblings, Helen Szostak of Lewiston; Natalia Adamczyk of the Town of Niagara and Barney Salacinski of Lewiston, NY; eight grandchildren, many great grandchildren, a great great grand and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday from 4-9 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where prayers will be said Saturday 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. John de LaSalle RC Church. The interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston. |
